Hi. My female cat age 3 has been having watery eyes a slight runny nose every now and then , and meows a bit when using the litter box. I wonder if she is in pain . I know she doesn’t drink that much water even though I refill her water bowl often with fresh filtered water . What do you think is going and what should I do ? Sounds like there may be a couple of things going on here. Watery eyes and runny nose can be a sign of an upper respiratory infection. Meowing at the litter box may mean she is experiencing some pain with passing urine or stool. I would say getting an exam done with Lola's vet is a good place to start. Your vet will do an exam and may recommend blood work or x-rays to help determine what is going on. Your vet may also place Lola on an antibiotic if an upper respiratory infection is suspected.
