My dog threw up a blue ball and black substance. Should I worry?

My dog threw up a piece of blue ball and it was completely black

Poor guy. It is good that he at least vomited up this foreign object and hopefully he didn't ingest additional things that can harm him. Monitor him for the next 24 hrs for any other signs/symptoms that would prompt a vet visit, such as lethargy, decreased appetite, more vomiting or loose stool. I am not sure what the black substance is without seeing it, but as long as he is acting well and continues to do well for the next 24 hrs, he should be fine. If you do notice other symptoms or signs of trouble though, he should be seen by your vet right away for some testing and treatment. Best of luck with Boris and I hope that his illness symptoms stop here with the 1 vomiting episode. Keep him out of reach of objects that he can easily digest that could potentially harm him in the future. Best wishes and take care.
