My dog is burying his face. What's causing this unusual behavior?

My dog has been burying his face this evening. This is unusual behavior and he keeps doing . Even when food is around. He pops his head up to look then immediately burrows his head back down, he even tries to do so in the carpet. This has only just occurred a few hours ago but it is very unusual behavior. Just some info on him- -he is three -recently groomed (two days ago) -has epilepsy. Pet's info: Dog | Cockapoo | Male | neutered | 3 years and 8 months old | 40 lbs
