If the wound is actively bleeding I recommend an urgent assessment as there are large blood vessels which can be damaged. Otherwise bathing the foot in cold water to keep clean and fresh will reduce the risk of infection. You should have the wound checked by your vet as soon as possible to see if surgical repair is necessary or if it can be allowed to heal naturally
