What caused my pet bird's sudden death after illness and vet care?

two days ago we saw my pet bird little dull. the other birds are pecking on it. it's head is swollen. we made it drink turmeric water. and it was fine. yesterday it was again dull and we took it to a vet. he applied some powder, gave "zipvit". he prescribed two antibiotics to use either one for all the birds. they are hostacycline and oxytetracycline powder. we made it drink a drop of zipvit. today morning too we made it drink zipvit and we went out when we came home it was dead. no antibiogiven

Sorry for your loss. Taking the deceased bird back to the veterinarian to perform a necropsy with the goal to determine a cause. Somethings are contagious to other birds, including bacterial and viral problems. Birds will often pick on the sick/injured to get them to leave the flock, for protection. Monitor the health of others. Also, providing antibiotics through the water gives you no control over quantity ingested. A specific oral dose is best. Good luck with the other birds.
