My baby bird has no claws on its toes. Should I be concerned?

hi my bird babies does not have any claws on some toes, should I worry and why is that?

Thanks for reaching out. This is probably a genetic trait, or incubation problem but also the parents will sometimes chew off toes due to stress. If the toe areas appear healed, with not observed blood or exposed tissue, than genetics is suspected. The pair should probably not be allowed to breed. If open wounds, antibiotics and wound care are probably necessary. Good luck.
