My cat has been in heat for 17 days. Should we be concerned?

A cat's heat can last up to three weeks, so no I would not be worried. I would be concerned, however, if it lasts longer than this or you start seeing things such as a bloody and smelly discharge from her vulva, vomiting, lethargy, and a loss of appetite.
