Why is my senior dog suddenly drinking lots of water, peeing, and has a big belly?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 8 years and 8 months old

Hi , so my dog Sadie is 9 this Easter , she has had no health problems at all , recently ( maybe started 3 weeks ago around that anyway ) she’s been drinking a lot of water , belly then goes Big and then see needs a wee , any ideas ? Thanks

If she is drinking or urinating more than usual, she should be seen by your veterinarian. Given her age, blood work should be done to assess major organ function, especially kidney function. Dogs can have kidney disease but show no symptoms until kidney function is greatly reduced. If diagnosed early, it may be managed.
