Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | 94 lbs

My dog is having infections in between the legs since 1 month but it gets cleared after 2 weeks by giving medicines but now again it has come and also starts spreading to her body now. She is a mother for a 36 days pups. I have consulted a nearby doctor but his medicines were not much effective and also the antibiotics. She is getting really thin. I have the attached photos of the infection and medicines given to her .Please prescribe some medicines sir Thank You

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach- I am sorry to hear Lucky is not feeling well. The redness in between her paws and between legs can indicate a skin infection. The medication you were given looks like an antibiotic. Lucky may need another dose of this antibiotic or she may need another antibiotic entirely. Nursing mom needs a lot more calcium and calories as it takes a lot of energy to produce milk. Make sure she is eating a puppy formula food which has more calories and calcium in it until she is done nursing. This will help her put on a little extra weight. Unfortunately I cannot legally prescribe medications for Lucky over the internet. I would ask your veterinarian for a refill or a different antibiotic. I wish you the Lucky the best!
