My 8-month-old cat has a hard white lump inside his lip. What is it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 8 months and 2 days old | 8.6 lbs

Hello! I’ve noticed a hard white lump on the inside of my cats lip. It’s super hard, has a pointy spot to it. I thought maybe a tooth, but it’s on the inside of his lip. If I move his lip it’ll move too. He’s 8 months old, otherwise healthy! Never had any issues and up to date with shots and vet visits. Neutered as well.

In that area, cats can have some odd looking structures in their mouths. Check the other side for a matching structure. if one is present, it's likely normal. If one is not present, have him examined by the veterinarian to see what that is. I hope this helps.
