My senior pet hates phosphorus binder. How little can I mix it?

Hi regarding the phosphorus binder that I mix into Tony’s senior canned food... how well does it have to be mixed in? I notice the more I mix it up, the more the texture of the food changes and he doesn’t like this so much. If I only fold over the food once or twice to hide the powder he likes that better and eats more but is it as effective this way? Thx

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Tony. The most important thing is that he eats. If he will eat better with the powder folded in, then I would recommend doing it that way. Typically bloodwork is monitored when a patient is taking a phosphate binder to test his levels. This will let you know if he is taking the correct amount and if it is working for him. I hope this information helps!
