What should I look for in a rat food. I feed my rats salads with different types of food but they do get rat food some times when I feel like they need food that is going to fit there needs exactly. what type of brand to you think is the best too? Oxbow, Mazuri and Kaytee all make excellent rat chow. Being omnivorous, they can eat almost anything. They should eat mainly a pelleted or block diet supplemented with fresh fruits, greens and vegetables.
