Why does my dog have bad breath and hate his mouth touched?

Hello so my dog max ever since ive had him his breath has really stunk really bad and he dosent like being touched by his mouth and he never gives kisses. Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 10 lbs

I'm wondering if Max has dental disease causing his bad breath. Even young dogs can develop dental problems, and Yorkies in particular are known for being prone to dental disease. I'd recommend making an appointment with your vet so they can examine Max's mouth.
