My cat has a huge abcess on his back that is starting to go down each side. Can he wait till Monday or do I need to take him to the ER? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 years and 8 months old | 20 lbs

The infection will only spread and be harder and more expensive to treat, the more time goes by. The veterinarian may recommend surgery to help the wound be flushed out and heal.
