It is true they are not prolific barkers. AmStaffs don't need to be taught to bark though. All dogs can bark. You can reinforce the behavior by discovering what makes him bark, then get him all riled up and just before he barks, say "Speak". When he barks, reward him. Repeat this until he starts to bark on command. Be careful though, because even though they don't usually bark much, you can create an excessive barker accidentally. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Lucci's behavior is common. He is still young and you can still work on this. I would take him to a trainer to have him learn the "leave it" and "look" commands. I would purchase a gentle leader face harness and use that on walks. Do not take him off the leash around other dogs or children until he listens to you perfectly. Little breed dogs are loud and they bark. Some are more pushy with their dominance and you will need to figure out how much Lucci will exhibit these behaviors as he grows up and reaches social/behavioral maturity (up to 3 years of age). I recommend you get aggressive with training and using professionals. Some dogs are quieter or more reserved than others. There's no way to "force" Junior to bark. You may be able to train him to bark. Get him excited enough to bark then reward him each time he "speaks". Be warned though, it is possible he may begin to bark too much once he "finds his voice".

That is very impressive for a puppy Bailey's age! Training her to bark may be difficult. Many people will hang a bell (bells) from the door knob and teach the pet to ring the bell. Basically, gently touch it to her muzzle to make it jingle and then open up the door. Most dogs pick up on this quickly. I hope this helps and thank you for using Boop by Petco!

This type of behavior can be very concerning, especially when there are small children around. The good news is that your puppy is still very young and this is a good time to teach her good and appropriate behaviors. You are already doing a great job by exercising her regularly (a fast-paced 20-30 minute walk 2-3 times a day is best) and by redirecting her aggressive tendencies with chew toys. Another tactic you can use in training is to immediately stop play and ignore her if she starts becoming aggressive. This will teach her that that type of behavior does not get her what she wants (your attention). It is also a good idea to always use positive reinforcement when she is being well behaved. Puppies respond better and learn faster from positive reinforcement (like verbal praise and treats) than negative reinforcement (like yelling or hitting them). It would also be wise to start some initial training of basic commands as well, like sit, stay/wait, come, etc. This will help her fo

I am sorry that Bea is barking too much. First of all rest assured that this is a common problem for puppies, and Bea is still considered a puppy. Unfortunately the tactic of yelling or stomping at Bea won't help the problem, as he will think that you are merely joining in the activity of "make loud noises at the door." It actually can contribute to the behaviour. This is the tactic I recommend though it may seem funny you have to start by Teaching your dog the "quiet" command. Give Bea the command to "speak." Then wait for him to bark two or three times, and reward him with a treat in front of his nose and verbal praise. When he stops barking to sniff the treat, praise him and give him the treat. Repeat this many times until he starts barking as soon as you say "speak." Once your Bea can reliably bark on command, move on to teaching him the "quiet" command. In a calm environment with no distractions, tell him to "speak." Then when she starts to bark, say "quiet" and stick a t
