Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 3 years and 3 months old | 61 lbs
My dog, Brooklyn Riley, has not been feeling well for the last two days. She has been unable to keep any food down and has not defecated since Tuesday 12/24. She has otherwise been acting normally; drinking normally and seems to be in normal spirits but I am concerned. I did give her an eighth of a tablespoon of diatomaceous earth as I had read that it was a good natural alternative to flea/tick preventatives, could this be the cause of her discomfort? If so, is there anything I can do?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Brooklyn Riley. I recommend that she sees a veterinarian today. It is worrisome that she cannot eat without vomiting. Is there a chance that she ate a foreign object such as a piece of a toy or clothing? If there is a blockage in her stomach or intestines, the dog will vomit every time it eats. The veterinarian will examine her and may recommend x-rays and bloodwork. Do not give her anymore of the natural flea and tick prevention. I hope this information helps!
