My 7-year-old dog suddenly growls at me. Is he sick or in pain?

My seven year old dog who never leaves my side and is my best friend suddenly started to growl at me. He gets the whale wide eyes also. It can last 15 mins to 30. I am scared he has something wrong in his brain. I can’t possibly live without him. I am disabled with a spinal cord injury and we are together 24/7. Help please!!! You need to take him to a vet for an exam. Any abnormal behavior, especially towards the side of aggression, need to be taken seriously. It very well could be a brain tumor. I don't know. It could also be the beginning stages of seizure activity. It could be from pain somewhere in/on his body. He needs a vet exam to try to find out what is going on with him.
