Is it okay to give dog dental water additive directly by mouth?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 28 lbs

Can I squirt this into my dogs mouth or do I have to put it in their water? The directions say in the water but I wanted to see if it can be used directly orally. I have not heard back from the manufacturer yet.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would follow the directions as listed on the label. Also this may help with dental disease but it isn’t the best solution. Brushing with dog toothpaste is the best option for dental health. Kisses to Asher!
