Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered
My cat has a spot on his lower lip that I can't tell is abscessed or not. His breath also smells awful, and he hasn't been eating or drinking on his own. I've managed to syringe water into his mouth. He has also lost a bit of weight. This has been going on for a couple of days and hasn't gotten better. As of this morning he has become vocal about it.

Without examining your cat or at least seeing some photos it is very difficult for me to comment. The best I can tell you is that he needs to see a vet so he can be examined in person. He may have a seriously infected tooth or even a tumor in his mouth cavity. Both things can cause the sign you describe. He cannot be left in this condition without eating and losing weight. It sounds like he is in pain so he needs to see a vet right away. I would not wait to get him examined. This is an emergency in my opinion.
