Why is my cat losing weight despite eating more while on Depo?

Question

3 year old Ragdoll female cat 8 pound- On Depo for 9 months for extreme fur chewing. Very active, alert, no vomiting, no diarrhea. Eating (as expected) about 50% more then before Depo. Now losing weight for last month or so. Blood tests show no diabetes or cushings symptoms. Thoughts for why losing weight since eating much more.

That is odd. My first thought was that she's developed diabetes, but it sounds like you ruled that you already with lab work. If full blood tests have already been performed, an abdominal ultrasound would be the next step in trying to figure out what is going on. Talk to your vet about whether abdominal ultrasound is something they can do for you, or if there is somewhere they can refer you where ultrasound can be done .
