My puppy ate laxatives. Is she okay? What if I can't afford a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 22 days old

I just got a new puppy.. She's 7 months old and loves to tear things up while we are away.. I came home this morning after a Dr appointment and she had gotten into my meds.. She couldn't get into the bottles thank goodness but did chew up a pk of ducolax pills (laxatives) I'm super worried.. I have no money to rush her to the vet.. What can I do?? Will she be alright??

If Lola got into medications or a bunch of laxatives she may get pretty ill and have a large volume of diarrhea, so I would keep her somewhere easy to clean. If the diarrhea doesn't resolve after a day or so, she is extremely ill/lethargic, or she got into more than just a laxative, it would be best to seek veterinary care immediately. If you're having trouble affording veterinary care, this site can help give you some options to that Lola can be seen: https://www.humanesociety.org/resources/having-trouble-affording-veterinary-care
