My dog is weak and can hardly walk. He'll eat, but mainly if I hold.it in my hand.

Your dog needs to see a vet. He sounds very sick. The symptoms you describe are very vague and don't point to any one illness or disease process. He needs to be examined by a vet in person. Please get him to a vet for an exam as soon as possible.
