My rabbit had a litter, then another baby days later. How can this be?

On Monday the 16th Willow unexpectedly gave birth to 7 bunnies. All Of them seemed healthy. Sadly over the course of a few days they all passed away not sure why as she’s a good mom. Well today Thursday the 19th I find she as given birth to just 1 baby. How is this possible? (I’m not yet a bunny expert). Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed

Thanks for reaching out about Willow. The only explanation that can be presented is one uterine horn presented babies prematurely, while the other horn has one fetus that went full term. It is not possible to have babies from different sires and different ages. Good luck.
