Puppy staggering and not eating after vaccine. Is this normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 3 days old | 88.361 lbs

Kronos was vaccinated on the 14th Dec 2019 with live attenuated DHLPP vaccine. As at yesterday night, the 18th of Dec 2019, Kronos suddenly lost appetite and started staggering even till today, now, he doesn't eat and is staggering. Is this normal for live attenuated vaccination? There is no blood in stool or mucos in stool. He tries as much as possible to still play but his balance is not solid. Is he sick or just reaction to the vaccine?

This is not a normal reaction to a vaccine. However, I would be concerned there is also something else going on since it's been several days between vaccine and reaction. Due to the symptoms you mentioned, it would be best to bring Kronos to a veterinarian right away for care.
