My dog ate a burr and is gagging. Should I let her eat grass to vomit?

Hi, Our dog picked up some burrs in her fur on a walk today. She removed one of the burrs before we could get them off and is now gagging every 10 minutes or so. She is also wanting to eat grass non-stop. Should we allow her to eat grass to induce vomiting?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Izzy. Poor girl. No, do not induce vomiting as this burr will irritate and hurt her esophagus on the way up. If she's doing poorly, I'd have her seen by a vet now to get treated. I hope this helps!
