Is my Golden Retriever's neck pain from a choke collar causing snaps?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 10 months and 22 days old | 60 lbs

Hello,I am having a problem with my 10 month golden retriever At 4 months of age we started using choke collar as this is our first dog we didnt knew that it is not for goldens.He meets everyone in very friendly manner but sometime he gets angry when touched at neck,he even get angered when My son touched Him on neck and snapped him and didnt let him get up.he snapped the 3rd time on touching the neck.I think he is having pain in neck.plzz advice

Please have him assessed fully by a vet, snapping and biting is not normal or acceptable behaviour. Physical injury and pain should be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible both for his comfort and to prevent a dangerous cycle of aggression
