Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 28 lbs
I have always had an issue with Asher peeing on his fur. He has short legs so when he lifts his leg, it gets all over his underbelly & back paws. He always got something stuck in his fur so the groomer & I shave half of his underbelly, 90% of the hair around his penis and testicles. We wipe off his feet. It’s helped a lot but he is now getting rashes. I assume it’s because of bare skin contact w/ pee & other things so is there something I can put on his skin to protect it?

There is nothing you can put on his skin for protection but you should be wiping him off with a wet wash cloth or a hypoallergenci baby wipe every time he urinates. Keep the area clean and dry. If he is developing a rash, you may ask your veterinarian about a medicated shampoo or wipe to use at home. I hope this helps.
