My cat is in labor and it's taking too long. What can I do to help?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 6 lbs

My cat is in labor, it started 7pm, she put one out, then it took more than 2 hours to put other one (I was anxious and I put pressure on her belly to help her gave the birth). She put another out by her own, but I, for sure, there is more. I can't afford a vet. Right now is 1 am and I think there is more than 2 hours since she gave the last kitten the birth. My question is I can do something to help? Some pressure on her belly will help her?

It is not recommended to put any pressure on her abdomen/belly. You can really injure her and/or the babies. If she still has kittens inside her you will have to find a way to get her to a vet. If tee kittens stay inside her and they die, she will also die. Please get her to a vet and also have her spayed so this will not continue to happen.
