hi there, my dog has not been himself lately. he cries when he goes up stairs and when he jumps onto my bed. this doesnt happen all the time only occasionally. his tongue is sometimes cold which ive heard is not normal. hes a 3 year old cocker spaniel. he runs normally, eats and sleeps fine. he just seems very quiet lately and not himself. i wonder if i could have some advice on what to do/whether to take him to a vet or not? many thanks, Aimee

Teddy needs to be examined by the veterinarian. The crying out is a sign of pain. Since this has happened more than a few times, something is wrong. It could be a problem with his spine or pain in his cranial abdomen. Since he can't talk, a physical exam is the only way to begin figuring out what is wrong. Have him examined today. I hope they figure out the problem quickly.
