Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 9 months and 2 days old | 45 lbs
My unaltered 9 year old female went into heat about a week ago and when cane (the male puppy) and my female started becoming interested in each other, I sent the female away to stay elsewhere until her heat is over. The puppy is extremely timid and nervous of everything, the older female makes him feel safe. Now that shes gone, hes shaking, will barley eat, constantly whines.. ect. But this behaviour started a couple days before we sent away the female. Could this be a health problem or...?

If only Cane could talk! If he does not improve within 24 hours or if he gets worse, have him examined by the veterinarian. Here is some good information about anxiety. He may not have separation anxiety but the information will help: https://www.petcoach.co/article/separation-anxiety/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/7-natural-treatments-for-dog-anxiety/ I also recommend to have one or both dogs altered. A pregnancy at the female's age could be dangerous for her health. There are many benefits of altering pets (both males and females): https://www.petcoach.co/article/spaying-ovariohysterectomy-the-benefits-in-dogs/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/benefits-of-neutering-castrating-male-dogs-puppies/ I hope this helps.
