Why is my puppy sick with fever, fits, paralysis, and breathing issues?

Hello I adopted a stray puppy last year around this time. He got fever 3 weeks ago which retained for more than 4 days so our vet gave him a set of 3 injections but the fever continued so he was on saline drips including some medication for last week. This reduced his fever but last day he started getting fits which resulted in paralysis and he is barely breathing now My place doesn’t have proper animal hospital I wanted to know what had happened to him.

Oh no, poor boy! He sounds very sick, and without seeing him in person, I can't say what is going on with him. It could be he got into something toxic or has a deadly disease like distemper. I'm sorry he's so sick.
