What's causing my dog's painful lump near her anus? Is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 62 lbs

My lab has a deep hotspot” ( idk if it’s a hotspot) on the right side of her anus? It is making her miserable! Please help

Hello. This is definitely not a hotspot. You need to have your veterinarian evaluate this as soon as possible, especially since she is so miserable. I do hope you can have her seen soon. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

    It would be much more helpful if you could repost your question with a photo or photos. It is difficult to give advice without seeing it. It does not sound serious at this time but you should take her to the vet for an exam in the next week or so if it does not resolve. Any abnormal finding should be checked by your vet. I hope this helps. Feel free to repost with photos if you can.
