My dog's C-section stitches are red and open. Should they be restitched?

Hi my dog undergone C section most of the stitch are healed except for about 1cm and its red it's not fully closed. Does it need to be restitched again? Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

Hello. If you could post a picture & let us know when the surgery was done, it would be most helpful. Most likely it does not need to be restitched, but we do need to see the incision to make an evaluation. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
