Can a sudden prong collar pull cause my dog a salivary mucocele?

Can sudden pulling on prong collar causes salivary mucocele? I’ve read online that prong collar can cause salivary mucocele. My trainer taught me to use prong collar (short prongs) on my dog by placing it right behind the ears high up on the neck. Today she made a sudden lunge towards a cat I did not see at first. I’m just worried if such sudden lunge can cause salivary mucocele? As the salivary gland is right under the ears too. If so how fast do such salivary mucocele is to form? One day?

It could happen but that is fairly rare. I would not be overly worried about it but honestly, my fiancee is a dog trainer and a pinch collar should not be necessary if the dog is trained correctly. Maybe you should get a second opinion with another trainer? Here is a link about salivary mucoceles for you to review. ( https://www.acvs.org/small-animal/salivary-mucocele )
