My cat is shedding a lot and has bald spots. What's the cause?

My 2 year old male cat is shedding a lot of hair and I can see patches of fur missing,but I am unsure of what's causing it and how do I stop it? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered

If there is fit missing I’d recommend seeing your vet for a physical exam. Tyler might have a skin infection, allergies or parasites like fleas. I would guess that Tyler might be grooming more than usual as well.
