Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 11 years and 4 months old | 50 lbs
My dog had a biopsy two days ago and had a growth removed, she has 2 sutures and I was told by the veterinarian that she can only be allowed to walk outside to relieve herself and that she must be on a leash when so. Problem is, my dog associates leash with going outside for a walk and therefore refuses to relieve herself on the property. When she does need to relieve herself, she will go in the back yard if unleashed. Will her not being in a leash be a problem for the sutures/incision site?

The main reason for the leash is so that she does not run or jump. She needs to be controlled. You may try walking Momo outside by holding onto her collar and staying right next to her at all times (ideally holding her collar). You may also try attaching something not associated with a walk like a belt to her collar to take her out in the back yard to potty. I hope this helps.
