I’ve been noticing that when I’m not home Milo barley eats, drinks or uses his litter. My apartment is a lot bigger than what he was at before I adopted him. Should I be isolating all his items into one room while I’m gone for the day? Or do you think he’ll learn not to be afraid? I made a mistake on opening my whole apartment to him when he first came, instead of putting him in a small room.

Yes, I would put Milo in a smaller room while you are gone. That will help him feel more comfortable in your place, and as he gets more comfortable, you will be able to open him up to more of the house when you are gone. It takes time, but he should adjust.
