My cat has furballs & dry stool. Is high-fiber Royal Canin safe?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | neutered | 11 lbs

Hi, I thin, My 4 year old British short hair has been struggling with furballls blocking his insides for a while. He eats grass everyday and try to cough up fur and also his poo is very dry and hard with hair inside it when broken up. Is it safe for me to start feeding him the high fibre royal canine food along with his wet food? Thank you

Hi, yes that will be fine . I would also look into increasing his water intake by adding some water to his food/using a water fountain. I would also consider using lax a past to help until things settle. Hope Mr Boo gets better soon !
