My dog wouldn't put weight on back leg for 2 days. I was going to bring her to vet today but now she's fine. could the issue have resolved itself or should I bring her in any way?

Hello. I would recommend trying to rest your pet for the next few days to make sure all is OK. If she continues to act like everything is fine, then a visit is probably un-necessary. She may have just had a minor sprain or mild injury that just worked its self out. If the lameness returns, then go see the vet for an evaluation. If Snickers is putting weight on the leg when she walks and acting normal otherwise, I don't see a problem with resting her for a few days to see if the limping resolves. Normally, my rule of thumb is that if a dog is limping for more than 7-10 days, or if the leg is non-weightbearing or looks swollen, then x-rays are needed - so if she gets worse, or if there is no improvement in this amount of time, I would definitely recommend a vet visit at that point. I hope that helps a bit! :)

Since her lameness has been going on for so long, I think it's a good idea to get it checked with your vet. It could be anything from a bruise to a sprain to a crack in the bone itself. It's good that it's improving, but after almost two weekks I think your vet should do an examination and x-rays if they feel they are needed. Based on these results they can tell you better what is going on and how best to treat it. It may be that she just needs rest and confinemnt to improve more quickly.
