My bird died. How to find the cause & keep my other bird healthy?

I need to know what my bird died from so it doesnt happen again and i can make sure that my other bird is healthy?

I'm very sorry to hear that! The best way to find out what your bird died from is to submit its body for an autopsy (called a necropsy in animals.) If you call your veterinarian and ask, they should be able to help you figure out where to have this done in your area. As for your remaining bird, if you're concerned, I would recommend taking it in for a vet visit to make sure it seems healthy.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. For the well being of the remaining birds I would try to have the ones that died necropsied- or post mortem exam. This may help determine why they died in order to help your remaining birds. Be sure there are no toxic fumes near the birds. Cooking with teflon, some aerosol sprays, paint fumes etc could all be toxic to birds. Also check these there is no toxic foods or plants within reach. I'm so sorry for you loss. I hope you can find out what happened.
