My cat runs away when I'm about to serve his food. Why is that?

Hello I have a healthy indoor Turkish van cat he has some strange Behavior regarding eating he will come here while I'm preparing food very enthusiastically but then runs away right as I plan to serve it if you can find him and get him he will eat no problem we just cannot figure out why he runs away every time you're just about to feed him. Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Van | Male | neutered | 5 lbs

Cats can develop many odd eating rituals and I suspect this is one of them. If only Bandit could talk! You may try switching the area you prep the food and see if this makes a difference. I hope this helps.
