The exact amount of fruit your dog can safely eat is not known, but toxicity has been reported with just one ounce (half of a star fruit), so it is best not to give it to your dog at all. A super small piece shouldn't cause any problems.

Not to worry - a small piece of grapefruit flesh is not toxic. Peels, seeds, stems, or leaves of citrus fruits could cause neurologic concerns, but a small amount of fruit is unlikely to cause any major issues. Auggie may experience some minor gastrointestinal upset (such as vomiting or diarrhea), but should not be significant. If he does experience some GI upset, consider offering a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and white rice for a few days before transitioning back to his normal diet.

My mini doxie kicked the wedge of grapefruit just like 2 or 3 times bearly...should I panic yet??
According to ASPCA toxicology section, the fruit is not toxic if ingested in small parts. Skins and plant material can cause problems as Vomiting, diarrhea, depression; potential dermatitis. The fruit can be toxic if given with some medications as can interact with their absorption and bioavailability. I would recommend to monitor for those signs listed, but if nothing is seen there is no need for a veterinarian consultation.

Which fruit has more protein for Charlie?
I would recommend staying away from fruits with dogs. They are high in sugar and can cause intestinal upset like vomiting and diarrhea. Even though most fruits are not toxic they can still make Charlie sick. I would stick to well balanced dog food and treat. hope that helps

My dog ate a small piece of cooked onion. He is 16lbs. Will he be okay?
Hello. If it was just a one time small piece, he will be fine. A dog this size would have to eat a tablespoon or so of cooked onion to even begin to have any issues. He will be fine. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

My 7 lb Maltese ate a piece of diced onion - probably 1 cm in size. Will she be ok?
Consumption of as little as 15-30gm/kg of onion has resulted changes in the blood of dogs who eat it. Onion toxicities are noted in animals that ingest more than 0.5% of their body weight. That would be like a 20 pound dog eating 1/4th of a cup of onions. For Abigail, she would have to ingest around 1/8th of a cup in order to see toxic signs. Given that a 1cm piece of onion isn't enough to make 1/8th of a cup, she should be fine. Just make sure she doesn't get any more! Best of luck, I hope this helps!

No, it should not be dangerous for him to eat a small amount of cherry chunks. It could cause some stomach upset, depending on how much he ate. You should not feed cherry pits, stems, and leaves as they can contain cyanide, which is poisonous if consumed in high enough quantities.

If she only ate a small piece than she should be fine. That amount of chocolate should not cause a toxicity. Monitor her for any vomiting and diarrhea and have her examined by a vet if you notice anything abnormal.

You can give your dog apple slices, banana, blueberries, cantaloupe, cranberries, mango, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon. Kiwi fruit is ok, but remove the skin as it can be an irritant. Make sure you either peel or wash the fruits before giving them as a snack or a treat.

What can I do if my dog eats sweet potato pie
Sweet potatoes are not toxic to dogs, so I would not normally expect this to cause any problems apart from some GI upset if she isn't used to eating human food like this. So your pup will probably be just fine :)
