Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd - miniature | Female | spayed | 50 lbs
My dog had knee surgery on Tuesday. Starting today she has been having bowel movements in the house, which she has never had in the last 10 years. They're all solid and seem to just fall out when she's asleep or laying around. She is on gabapentin, trezidol (I think is the name? It's a sedative), an antibiotic, and deramaxx. I'm hoping to talk to the vet tomorrow, but they're closed on the weekend.

definitely speak with the veterinarian tomorrow. They may want to examine River again to check for any neurological problems. They may also change her medication to see if this is related. Until she is examined, watch her every time she is outside and see if she is having the normal bowel movements. Sometimes dogs will not use the bathroom regularly after surgery due to pain and an inability to posture as they used to. I hope this helps.
