I have a concern about my kitten Gizzy. She is about 3 mos and she has fleas. I washed her in dawn soap&it seemed to help. I put a flea collar on her but she’s still excessively grooming. I look at her groin area and I saw a flea. Ever since the collar has been on, I have seen a few dead fleas on bedding. However, there are these little oval shaped eggs that I find everyday that I’m guessing are falling off of her. I am thinking I should use a flea comb and then put topical medicine. Help me!

Flea collars tend not to work as well as the fleas will sometimes leave the neck area, but still stay on the tail like you are describing. I would definitely switch to a topical flea medication after removing the collar, bathing Gizzy to kill any fleas, and then applying the med. You'll also want to wash all bedding, and vacuum flooring/baseboards, etc as flea eggs can live in those environments and hop back on after hatching.
