Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered
I took a stray cat in about 3-4 m ago. He was 6 m.o & quite shy & fearful. He's now taken a liking to sleeping on my bed. He usually go straight to my room every morning to nap and doesn't get bothered by any sound whatsoever. Few days ago my friend came to visit and didn't realize he was sleeping on my bed, slammed her bag on my bed and it scared him so much that he jumped and tried to exit the house by force. Now he's scared of people that he already know & scared of my room. What should I do?

Try to recreate a positive association. Give him treats, encourage him to come into the room and play with him. Try take make all his experiences in the room positive. Most cats will come around within a few weeks but he can't get scared again. I hope this helps.
