Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 55 lbs

My Labrador has got a fever and is acting very confused, he is not eating anything not even a biscuit. How do I give him medicine(crocin, that the VAT recommended)? He has not eaten anything and only vomited everything. I feel helpless. Age- 5 years, Labrador retriever.

Hi, I would recommend that Sandy is rechecked and that you explain to your vet the difficulties you are experiencing. What is causing this temperature ? It’s impossible and useless to give oral medications to a dog that is vomiting. Ask your vet where does he think the source of infection is. In the meantime offer Sandy small amounts of water little and often and keep in a cooler place. Hope this helps.
