My cat is bleeding from her vagina and in pain. Does she need a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 12 lbs

My cat is bleeding from her vagina, I'm unsure of its a UTI and I dont have a vets office open around me, she keeps licking herself and if shes touched anywhere near her butt (base of tail or stomach) she freaks out

I'm concerned that Deku could have a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus, and it is fatal without treatment. She has to see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
