My dog's poop has white layers. Should I worry after recent diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | spayed | 7 years and 2 months old | 21 lbs

2 days ago, my dog had a diarrhea just for once so we gave her half of famotidine for 3 days. Yesterday she didn't poop at all and then today in 6am she poop like the attached. The texture is not a diarrhea but I've never seen this kind of white things before. I cut the poop in half & the white things weren't a chunk but they were just a thin layer of white things. She's acting fine so I don't know if we should visit doctor immediately or not. What's the meaning of white layers on poop? Thank yo

I would not be worried about the look of this poop. It is from what she ate - probably the pear; dogs cannot digest those well. It is not worms or anything like that. It is best to not feed her anything but food/treats made for dogs - other items/human foods tend to upset their stomach.
