My dog ate a large smoked pork bone. Is it safe or dangerous?

our dog, Charlie, just ate a large smoked pork bone, it was about six inches long. he is about 6 years old and an american staffordshire terrier

Oh no, that's not good! Cooked bones should never be given to dogs because they easily splinter and puncture the GI tract, causing perforation and obstruction. Do NOT induce vomiting. Keep an eye on Charlie. If you see vomiting, diarrhea, blood in the feces, lethargy, or loss of appetite, have him seen by a vet immediately.
