My cat isn't pooping after dental surgery. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 11 months old | 8.5 lbs

Maisey had 1 tooth extracted and 3 crown amputations on Wednesday. She's only had 1 small bowel movement since then. Should I be concerned? Is there something I can do to help her out? Thank you.

If she does not seem to be troubled by it I would not be overly concerned. It is best to feed canned food (pate), human baby foods (meat flavors and organic) or canned pumpkin (if she will eat it) - any of those can help with constipation.
